Brake Pads?
I maybe replacing my brake pads since they squeak in reverse. I'm gonna check the pads this weekend. Anyways if they need replacing I figured why not upgrade the pads. So anyone have any suggestions for higher performance semi-racing pads? I autocross a bit and plan to do more, but would like a streetable pad that won't squeak like some full race pads.
Oh and should I go with better pads all around or better pads in front, oem in the rear.

All of the pads that stop better than stock will squeak and/or dust.

Unless you are really sure what you are doing, keep the same pad compounds all around.
BTW, if your brakes only squeek in reverse and you otherwise like them, I'd say just stick with them.

Its quite common for pads to squeak when reversing. The reason is that the pads move within the calipers because of the unusual direction of rotation, resulting in the grooves and ridges between the pads and the discs no longer lining up. Unless you happen to drive around in reverse all day, this shouldn't really be a problem!
If it does bother you significantly, try increasing the amount of copper grease on the rear of the pads, this might alleviate the problem somewhat.

Keep your stock pads ..... who cares if they squeak in reverse. The stock pads are surprisingly good.
If you feel you have to change just because (you know what I mean, poseur style) then EBC Green Stuffs work great for day to day. Quiet, work fine cold, and don't dust much (which is a positive in the poseur benefit column).

Thanks for the input.
I'm going to check them this weekend and see how much thickness I have left before I decide on replacing them. I'd rather spend my money on some other poseur mods.
