Yesterday one of my coil went out after sitting in traffic.2002 ap1 f20.Car has 132,000 and not sure if they have ever been replaced.Glad it was on the way work and not out in the boondocks.So the check engine light came on and I got off the freeway and then the s2k transformed into a subee and then a blinking cell.So pulled into a parking lot.Had my son pick up the truck and trailer and brought her home.Car ran great till then.Had a friend hook up the snap on scanner but I think it was not working correct because it said no codes and also that the engine was a 6 cyl.Did some investigation and it turned out to be the coil packs.I am going to replace them all plus the plugs.Do the 04-05 rsx coils work?Going with the oem nog plugs.Thanks allot guy's

I've heard of RSX coil packs being used, however I'm not sure of the years. I'm pretty certain you will get some good feedback in the general forums. Try posting in the "modification/parts" forum.

I threw in my 05-06 Type S Coil packs, and a HUGE improvement over stock packs.

May be an idea to check the bores for piston pick up damage also with a compression test while your at it..

I've been using "Denso 6732301 Ignition Coil" (from amazon) in my 2.4L (AP1 head, stroked AP2 short block) and they've worked great. AFAIK they are equivalent to the RSX Type S (and other honda/acura 2.4L) coils.
