Default Exhaust

I am thinking of getting an aftermarket exhaust but not sure which one to get. I would like to get something that has a deep tone to it, but not to loud. I really want to stay away from the loud "tinging" sound you hear from a lot of honda's.

Also I read where some have cut out their resonator to give it a little deeper sound, has anybody tried it and did it work?

Used to have an 03 with Neuspeed catback. It had that deep sound at lower RPM and to me, it didn't have that "tingy" sound.

i find it funnyhow some of these honda s2000 guys have this huge complex about being associated as one of them.

the s2000 is difficult to make sound like a buzzing civic.

any of the suggestions above is a safe bet, but anything other than stock is going to be markedly louder. so don't "upgrade" to an aftermarket exhaust if you're concerned about noise.

i recommend comptech for quality. mugen is good but price is retarded. i like the HKS for looks and sound, but the build quality is poor, but no poorer than your spugen pos or T1R or 9384STD exhaust.

Never heard a Neuspeed before. I'd like to hear one of those in person sometime.

Sold that here on the board as-is... Wonder if he is still around.

Personally unless setup is racing, I prefer dual tips, no single for me!!!

I think I went with Neuspeed over Comptech was weight...Comptech was lighter...dunno, forgot...or was it it was out of stock.

Check this site out. It has a lot of s2k exhaust clips. make your choice from there.
