Default Greddy E-manage Ultimate Tune

Does anyone have experience getting a NA S2000 tuned with GReddy EMU in the seattle/eastside area? I was looking into Intec Racing or possibly A&J Racing in Vancouver BC. Any input would be appreciated.

not really, no one here likes the Emanage quite so much because a piggyback is still a piggyback, your ECU might not like the tune its given therefor its gonna correct itself then all hell breaks loose. If you really want to, go to PSI and have Jason look at it.

PSI is probably your best bet for anything nearby.

I am actually finding Emanage to be pretty awesome as long as you follow some basic principles, like not changing the fueling during closed loop. Then you don't fight the ECU.

Hopefully I'll be FI some day....

Even with FI, all ya gotta do is clamp the MAP signal at 2.8 volts, and tune using the pressure sensor rather than TPS. Use the accel enrichment tables if you have hesitation or transient lean conditions on tip-in of the throttle.

Which means you would need to stick with the factory injectors.

Nope. EMU has this nifty thing called "injector scaling" which modifies the pulse width across the board. The ECU doesn't see this since the EMU controls injectors directly, and continues to adjust STFT and LTFT as if the factory injectors are still there.

Haha sorry I've just been having too much fun learning the EMU. Most ppl would say F it and bring it to a tuner. I understand it enough now to tune it myself.

I have a wideband hooked up to it and I'm using the Auto Tune map to get the AFRs dialed in above 60% throttle (open loop).

VTEC is lowered to 4k and timing has been increased in 4k to 6k range in order to account for the timing advance the high cam likes (where the car used to be on the low cam). Smoother powerband and about 20 ft/lbs of extra torque in the midrange.

My last desire is to get some sort of knock count from the ODBII logger I have, but I haven't been able to discover the correct Honda-specific PID. Then I will be able to tune my timing map.
