Default Hollywood Needs your help!

So I like to think I can do everything myself... well that's not true, I hate doing things by myself but my trusty mechanic friend is out sick and I need some extra hands getting my new motor back into the engine bay.

I have to the car running by the end of saturday/Sunday as I need to run it a bit and change the oil before I take to C-SPeed on Monday to have it Dyno Tuned.

And of course, I always keep cold beer in the fridge.

Let me know. Thanx in advance!

Do you need a brain or a back?

If you know all the CRX shortcuts, i can probably volunteer my back to help you get the thing in... but i don't have any CRX specific knowledge.

I just need a back. As I lower the frame over the engine/tranny I usually need an extra hand getting the thing to slid into the motor mounts and getting the bolts in while someone holds part of it steady.

I am home by 7pm both tonight and tomorrow. I'm hoping to have the engine into tonight so I get put the head on tomorrow and put the timing belt on and adjust the valves.

I have my blackberry on me so shoot me an email if you're stopping by and I'll give you the address.

Thanks guys!

Because putting the Intake Manifold on the head when it's already in the car is much more difficult. Also, without the head, the shortblock/Tranny is easier to wedge into the car, at least my experience. The Oil cooler, starter, plugs, harnesses, oil pressure hose, temperature sender, and alternator are all easier to attach, plus, without the head the whole assembly is lighter and easier to manage.

The timing belt is super easy to do with the engine in the car, almost no different than with it out. As this is a race car there's lots less nonnsense to work with then on a daily driven passenger car with A/C and the such.
