I was wrong

I thought I was getting no "stimulus" check. Instead, I got $84. I heard that the HDTV people were expecting lots of folks to spend their checks on new TVs. Anybody know where I can get a new HDTV for $84?

84.00? It probably cost them more to mail you the check!

WTF. Waste of time.

$84? Did they take out income taxes from it or something?

wingle69 05-14-2008 02:16 PM

tell you what mike, I'll sell you my 15in tv for 50 and you can mail it back to the IRS with a thank you note and proof that you've just boosted my economy!

No, there is some phase-out formula that applies based on AGI.

RT 05-14-2008 02:25 PM

wingle69 05-14-2008 02:30 PM
