Hello Everyone!

First off, let me just say this is not a thread for us to have a debate over the possible upcoming war with Iraq. We all have our thoughts and view points, which should all be respected.

I am posting this thread because I am very involved with the current events that have been taking place in our country and around the world. I think it is our duty as Americans to get involved with the current events that will change and shape our future and do what we can to make a difference, no matter how small it may be. I am someone who supports the President in his efforts of disarming Iraq. There, I've said it! And if it makes you feel better, feel free to pelt me with a taco the next time I'm at Azteca.

The reason for this post is not to unleash my views on all of you or to create a lame debate over who is right or wrong. My reason is this. I am a listener of an AM radio station here in Seattle who is putting together an ad campaign to show support for the President and his motives behind disarming Iraq. There have been large protests against the war (i.e. tee-pee's on freeways) but being this is a more "Left Wing" state, the voices of those who are behind the President and our military do not have a loud voice. With this 30 second ad that will air on all the major networks, we can show our legislature that there are people in the state of Washington that support the ideas of President Bush and his administration.

They are asking for donations to buy up air time to show this commercial and I wanted to give those of us a chance, who might happen to feel the same way as I do, the opportunity to show there support on behalf of the Pacific NorthWest S2000 Club. I am placing my email address below for all of those who might be interested in participating. I also have a web address for those of you who would like more information before committing to something.

I'm not expecting a lot here. I'm sure I will get more grief then anything. In posting this I may be sleeping on the couch the next few nights (Mikey hates politics) and am sure I will end up having a long debate with Brant. Which is ok. I stand by my thoughts and would like those who feel the same to stand with me.

Thanks for the post Amanda. I'm with you and the pres on this as I believe in the urgent need to remove Saddam from power. I'm a close follower of politics and current events and I appreciate open-minded and intellectually honest discussions on any topic.
