Default Mt. Baker Cruise - July 3, 2010

Hey everyone,

It's that time of year again and my friends and I are planning a Mt. Baker cruise this summer which should be even bigger than last years. This event is posted on NWNissans and will be posted on NSXPrime and honda-tech. So long as your friends don't drive like total idiots they are welcome to join.

Shoot me a PM and I will provide you with my contact information for directions.

When: Saturday July 3rd, 2010 starting at 11am

What: Meet and Cruise up to Mt. Baker

Where:
Start - Ferndale, WA
End - Mt. Baker Ski Area

Who: Anyone and everyone (no idiots who will cause trouble)

It is time again for a drive up to Mt. Baker in Whatcom County. This meet will start in the Ferndale, WA Haggen parking lot at 11am. We will then all head up to the Mt. Baker Ski area leaving around 11:45 give or take. There will be a convoy to the "top" of Mt. Baker.

NOTE: ERRATIC AND/OR ILLEGAL DRIVING BEHAVIOR WILL NOT BE TOLERATED AND ANYONE WHO DOES DO ANYTHING ILLEGAL WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE THE GROUP AND NOT RETURN.

Bring you cameras, lounge chairs, and a lunch to enjoy at the top. This cruise will take you through some of the most scenic areas of the North Cascades. Invite your friends!

Directions:

The address for Haggen is:

1815 Main St.
Ferndale, WA 98248

Thank you!

-Matt

--------------EDIT: Important-------------------

Here is a map showing the location of the Starvin Sam's that the people from the south can meet up with us guys from the north. We will be stopping at the gas station around 12:15-12:30 and should be hanging out for like 10 min if you guys can plan accordingly. Use the address to get GPS directions if needed.

I'm in, that's my old stomping grounds (been boarding there for over 25 yrs). I might see if a group of us southenders would want to go up HWY 9 to the Mount Baker HWY and meet your group at the restaurant approx. 1 mile east of the HWY 9/Valley HWY turnoff (Yahoo maps shows it in-between Truck Rd. enterance and Deal Rd). The restaurant used to be called Carrol's Coffee Cup, but the name has changed several times over the years ? . Your group wouldn't miss us, the restaurant has a large parking area just off the HWY on your right. We could meet your group there at 12:30-1:00. So southenders let me figure out a good/easy place to meet up in Everett, then we can take HWY 9 from Arlington to the Mt.Baker Hwy (HWY 542).

I'm just thinking, wouldn't a good meeting spot would be Sunset square right infront of Cost Cutter? It's right off of I-5 and right on 542 as well which is a straight shot to Mt Baker.

This is a fun drive...one of the first drives I did with S2Ki (I was in a Lotus Elise the last time I made it up though ). I'll try to make this one.
