At first I was interested in the NASCAR track, but with no multi use, no interest! I actually watched the last race this season to see who would end up with the championship, and even though it was a nailbiter, gawd it was boring!! I couldn't imagine sitting there for all that time, at least I was at home and could do other things during the yellow flags, which was pretty much the whole race!

ps -- I could just see them build it in Bremerton -- no more drag racing, no more auto-x, no more SCCA, and no more open track days -- all NASCAR all the time.

I've been to local oval track races and local road course races. IMHO, the oval track races are more fun to watch. You have a better vantage point and you can see the whole race, not just the cars as they pass your location.
On TV it's a different story. You can follow the battles all the way around the track on a road course (if the director chooses to show them instead of showing Schumi way out in front). On an oval track, the TV loses the big picture that you get if you are there in person. Much like the way that baseball games are much better to watch in person than on TV.
