Default Reputable place to get a tune?

This whole E-tune thing isn't working out the way I had hoped. I made more power and had the car run better, minus some tweaking, on the base Toda tune compared to my E-tune.

I also can't seem to find the time to learn myself.

Where do you guys like to go for dyno tuning around here?

Thanks in advance.

Either Drift Office or Rich Tuned is who I would trust. I would actually go to Rich Tuned over drift office but that's just me.

I wasn't too impressed with their dyno day last weekend.

I was there early to get on the list relatively early. Rich didn't show up until an hour after their advertised time of the whole thing starting. On top of that, he showed up completely hung over.

Guaranteed, it did sound like he knew what he was talking about when it came to the subject matter. And was compliant with me changing tunes on the last run.

Why would you pick them over drift office? Any stories?

I've seen some of speed factory's fabrication work. Shady at best. I don't know if that speaks for their tuning abilities.

Lol I think I'm just being too picky and too judgmental.

Rich specializes in Honda's and knows Honda's and S2000's and he builds some damn fast cars. I would choose him because he works mostly on Honda while Drift office is a Nissan Toyota shop.

Okay. Good point. I was not aware of this!

I would at least talk to him when he is not putting on a huge car show/dyno day on the weekend. Like I said either one will probably be able to help you out.

Can you elaborate? Several of us have had engines built from these guys and a few others have had tunes there. They have 4 owners all controlling their own departments, ie; tuning, engine building, fabrication, sales. Never had any fab work done by them. They do only work on Hondas, and run a highly competitive Drag race team so they know what they are doing. Don’t expect a quick turn around with these guys though, they are always busy. Tuning might happen quicker for you.

Randy here on the south side has gone through five or six Speedfactory turbo manifolds. The welds keep cracking. That's my one and only experience with them at this point.

I trust both of your guys' inputs and will start to look into both Speedfactory and RichTuned. I wasn't sure if there was another place I'm not aware of.

Thanks.
