SEA: Sunday July 21st Autox at Bremerton Raceway
 

The Bremerton Events are a blast. Usually attendance is slimmer than the other events which means more runs: typically four. The whole format is pretty informal and the gang very friendly. The Bremerton courses tend to be a little longer and faster than at the other venues. I recommend taking the Fauntleroy Ferry from this side of the Puget sound for the shortest wait and shortest transit time.

Registration is $19 for non-members of the BSCC. Register on the day of the event between 12:00 and 12:30pm to participate.

I was very lonely at that meet. No other s2k's in sight. I had some time issues (and they were running an hour behind schedule) so I didn't run. One of the cool things about Bremerton is that they allow passengers. Snagged a ride with Bob Sagara in his '93 Vette. Damn! That car is a beast. He really has some serious control of a brutish car. The acceleration and grip was almost violent in nature.

Kind of shook me up a bit - The feel was so much different that our car and the low end grunt - very impressive. Bob is a really nice cat as well...

We almost took out a courseworker. Right at the start - accelerating HARD and a guy runs out to replace a cone - right in front of us! He would have made a very ugly hood ornament :D
