Valve Adjustment in Seattle?

As stated in the title, looking for a shop to get a valve adjustment done on an 04 AP2. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated. Thanks!

$30 worth of tools, another $30 for gaskets, and a couple of hours Saturday morning. Know any Honda bike mechanics? The procedure is practically identical.

Can't say that I do, but yeah you're right, i'll probably end up lining it all up and do my TCT and regular oil change as well.

Did you do the work yourself??

Hey everyone, new owner to the s2k work and looking to get a tct replacement from billman

Chuck S May 23, 2021 04:54 AM

TCT is a 10 minute DIY job including 5 minutes to find a 10mm wrench and a paper towel (the only tools needed). Follow the instructions explicitly and you'll be fine. I replaced mine at 40K miles as preventive maintenance. Did it wearing a dress shirt and pants -- no need to put on work clothes.

Valve adjustment is tedious but also dirt simple. You'll get messy doing this one and your back will hurt when it's done.

If anyone is uncapable or too lazy to do the work themselves, Chris over at Stage Auto in Kirkland will take care of you and your S2k. They know the car well, service them regularly and they are just really good honest people. Been dealing with them for years among a lot of us S2kers on the eastside.
