Yakima Autocross Questions

I was signed up for the Bremerton autox tomorrow, but I unregistered because of the icky weather.

Yakima's forecast looks friendlier, but it's too late to pre-register for the SCCA event tomorrow. The NWR website seems to indicate that all are welcome anyway. So, I have some questions:

If I show up, not having pre-registered, will I be able to enter?

It appears that A Stock is lumped in with Super Stock and F Stock (?) as "Stock 1." Is this correct? So I would face not only the humiliation of A Stock good drivers, but Super Stock cars and drivers? If so, why would they lump F Stock in with A stock and Super Stock?

Can one do afternoon time only (I'm out of novice cards)?

Thanks.

I skipped today's event in Yakima because the forecast was looking iffy, but it looks like I may have guessed wrong. Oh well.

Yes, but it will cost you $5 more than it would have if you'd pre-registered.

Thanks, Steve, that's just the information I needed. I may give it a whirl. Are these events intense, or fun like the Slush events were? What's the chance I could ride with someone?

I don't notice any difference in attitude between Slush events and normal season ones. All local autocrosses are pretty laid back.

Ride-alongs are legal at NWR-SCCA events. Whether someone will let you ride along depends on the person. Most PAX guys will probably at least accept a rider on their first run -- of course, that's the least useful run to ride along on since they're just learning the course themselves.

Steve
