Possibly hasn't decided completely yet. I will be getting a 2017 Camaro 1LE

Well that would be a departure for sure. Getting out of the tracking game and into a family size sports car everyone can fit in?

Camaro 1LE is a track ready car and GM doesn't void the warranty for track use. So the idea is to get a car and only change the pads and fluids to attend track days
I will let you know when I get it so that you can take a look

I see. Well I know the Camaros have come a long way in their track performance, but I just cant imagine a 3800lb 4 seater being more fun and easier on consumables then an S2k. I can understand the desire for something different with a V8 though, and certainly the practical aspect of having 4 seats if you need to be able to run the fam around once in a wile.

I am not really worried about the practicality as I have an access to other cars but it doesn't hurt of course. They're totally different in every aspect as you mentioned, I am pretty sure I will miss the S2K (convertible and small sports car feel) but I am also sure I will love the new car also . we'll see
