Anyone have this lens? There's a current rebate, $100 on it. Just trying to get thoughts. I realize this forum is dead lately, but maybe?

I have this lens. There are also Tamron matched 1.4x and 2.0x teleconverters, which I also have. I shot the August 2017 total solar eclipse with the lens and the 1.4x teleconverter and got great results. The lens compares favorably with the Nikon 600mm prime lens at 1/10th the price..
