Aerial Photography
A mates got a pilots license and is going up for a flight next week and I've said I'll go along for a laugh. Going to take the camera and get a few scenery shots/shots of mates houses that have asked for them to be taken.
Anybody done any aerial photography and got any advice?

Don't fall out.
-You shouldn't need a gyro if you keep your shutter speeds better than 1/500th. That shouldn't be hard in good light.
-Get a plane or whirlybird with a large enough vent window that you can get your lens through it.
-Also , confirm what altitude you can fly, this will greatly affect your lens choice.

We can get down to 500ft minimum. Well the planes already booked (can't remember the type) but not sure if there's vent windows I can shoot out of. The one we're using has a large canopy to shoot through but may struggle to get a shot without a windscreen in front of me.
I shall be doing my best to also avoid falling out

You'll need to watch the distort caused by the canopy.

He's had the licence for ages and I've been up with him before just first time I've seriously tried to take pictures with it.
Not too disimilar to that plane but it isn't that type.
If it does distort then I'm probably a bit stuck with it. Thinking a polarising filter might help to cut down on reflections through the glass though?
