Default Anyone with a Nikon 50mm f/1.4D

I think I am going to buy this lens and I have read a few reviews but I wanted to see if anyone had any sample images they could show me or even just how they like, or dislike, the lens. Thanks in advance.

My wife bought me this lens. I was debating between the 1.4 and the much cheaper 1.8 I made this blog posting for my buddy who had the same dilemma. Photos are quick and dirty just to show the dof and affect on shutter speed.

I have the older non-D f1.4 but I never shoot it wide open. The image quality is so bad I'd rather use f2 and push the ISO rating.

yea shooting wide open won't get you nice results with this lens...will need to stop down.

i believe after f/2 and smaller you'll see the sharpness increase.
