Inebriated London at Night

Some Laaahndan shots from the other weekend when I was drunkenly trying to get back home after a stag do. I even cut short the beers as I had to get to my mum's to dog sit by a certain time.

I've no idea how I don't get mugged staggering around waving an SLR about, especially a 1D, but there you go :D All were with the 50mm 1.4 as it was this weekend I discovered the 24-105 was up the spout.

(really like that one - she played up to the camera nicely, even down the length of the carriage :D)

Cool! I like the first one alot. :)

So let me get this straight. You were drunk when you took these (quite excellent) shots? You get extra points for that. :)

I really like the first shot. The light is beautiful. The background has just enough detail. The placement of the sign is spot on. And the caption is clever. Good use of black-and-white, as well.

I like the vibrant color and motion blur in the Jubilee Journey shot. The yellow stripe is a good use of line.

The Tower Bridge shot is gorgeous. The blue light in the foreground is a nice touch.

I might prefer that the Post Meridian shot be color corrected.

Forgot to ask ...

For us bloody colonials across the pond, what does "up the spout" mean? :)

What went wrong with it? :(

I remember we bought them around the same time - Mine has behaved faultlessly.

Really like the B&W shot on the girl on the tube

:eek2:

I thought these lenses were bulletproof.

The 50mm 1.4 is a nice lens. I was playing with mine yesterday.

Great photo's as ever Graham. I especially like Post Meridian.

I'll make a new thread about the lens, it's worth drawing attention to.

UNC04SuzukaBlue it means knackered, faulty, broken :D

Tis fixed now though.
