Thumbs up Looking for tripod-mounted strap a la Black Rapid

I'm looking for a good shoulder strap that can rest securely on the hip. I was looking at the Black Rapid straps, was ready to order, but found out it occupies the tripod mount and no provisions for the strap and a quick release plate to coexist in the same spot. I often shoot on a tripod so a quick release plate is on the camera pretty much permanently.

Is there a mod where a Black Rapid-type strap can coexist with a QR plate on the camera? Looks like all the good straps occupy the tripod mount.

Maybe an "adapter" they sell to accommodate both strap and QR plate?

Thanks.

My quick release has a little metal knob underneath it which I could use to clip onto the black rapids straps.

Not sure if its completely safe, but I haven't seen any adapters.

Yea that seems a little scary, not sure if that piece is designed to bear loads.

I'm looking into the Black Rapid RS4/RS7 to use with an Op/Tech #7 adapter that can be fed through one of the two eyelets.

OR

The Luma Loop looks pretty nice as that can be installed on the eyelet out of the box. Saw a video where they tested the strength by hanging 250 pounds from the strap.
