Must have lens for 5D MII
Curious what are some decent lenses for the 5D Mark II? Picked one up and also got a brand new 40mm pancake lens free but I'm curious of some good lenses. Not exact milimetering but something like 20mm-100mm I had the 28-135mm IS and it suuuucked.

I use the 24-105 as a walk around and it's very useful, and gives really good results.
My all time favorite lens is the 100mm f2, probably one of the most under appreciated lenses in Canon's lineup, mainly because it's right between the much loved 85mm f1.8 and the 135L. But the results I get from the lens make it well worth the $350 used price tag. It's tack sharp down to f2 and it's fantastic for car shoots, you can really concentrate on the car itself and give some nice bokeh behind it.

The 40mm I got is decent but obviously it's just that 40mm only. I wanted to do a few time lapsing but this 40mm isn't that good. I picked up a TC-80N3 remote but the 40mm sort of ruins the time lapsing

The 50mm 1.8 prime is a great lens for daily application, amazingly sharp, convenient sized, pretty well built, and most of all you can pick one up for less than $100. The only problem is you can't zoom (duh its a prime) but you won't find a quicker lens for that price that's as sharp and great for low light situations, always good to have one on deck to switch out. I'm currently saving for a 24-70 but for now this isn't a horrible primary lens at all, regardless of the fact that it's a prime.
