I just found some glass! 
It's used but hey, if I can get it, maybe I can scrap out a 30D :]
p.s. it's a 28-75mm tamron (f/2.8). I remember you pushing the 17-55mm a bit more, do you mind PMing me the big differences between them? Maybe I should wait to see a 17-55 open up? I remember you saying it was the best walk around lens or something?
