Yeap. I ended up getting the kit with the 24-105mm although I would've loved a 24-70mm. The 6D replaced the Mark II, I think, and the Mark II has turned into the entry level camera because its cheaper than the 6D and it lacks a lot of what the 6D has. People forget that the Mark II is now 5-years old (2008) so the 6D has all the latest features in it, making it better than the Mark II. The 6D even has better low light noise reduction than the Mark III, because of the latest Digic5. 6D wins all around vs 5D II

Just realize that the 6D doesn't have the build quality and weather sealing of the 5D. The 5D has a full alloy frame, is weather sealed (6D is only "drip and dust proof) and is way more rugged overall. There's a reason why the 5D is a "pro" camera and the 6D is an "entry-level full frame" body.

The FEATURES of the 6D are arguably better/newer/more advanced but it's ultimately a full-frame camera in a 60D body, which definitely isn't a "pro" body. Technology moves ahead - that's inescapable - but the 6D is not a direct 5D replacement at all. That honor would go to the 5D MkIII.

The body to me doesn't make it a Pro vs Entry. Almost all of reviewers and owners, including myself said side-by-side holding them, you couldn't tell a difference in build quality. For me, I'm not concerned about waterproofing of a 5D Mark II. What makes this camera better is simply doing what the Mark II but better. Better AF, image & video quality, better ISO, Digic5 to name a few. Another one thing I didn't like was a plastic screen vs glass. But using a screen film or protector, its all ok.

I sell cameras for a living.. Personally I would go with the 6D because the processor is newer.
