SD Cards....

Need to get an SD card for the camera but haven't got a clue which one to buy as there is so many to choose from out there.

Any suggestions?

Just get something with fast write speed, Class 10.

Well it would depend on what you're shooting.

If you're constantly shooting photos for sports or weddings, then a fast write speed card should be top priority.
However, if you're just shooting stationary objects, maybe a couple of portraits here and there, a fast write speed card isn't necessary, in which I would just spend the money on a cheaper card with more capacity.

FWIW, we use SanDisk Extreme 45 MB/s, class 10.

Thanks Julie,

I started looking on ebay and then started to get confused with all the MB's on the cards... :ponder:

Just be careful on the eBay cards. There is lots of counterfeit cards out there

I buy all my cards at b&h

I think the estimate at one point was that online CF cards were 90% counterfeit. I wouldn't be surprised if SD or other styles are close to that.

ebay even had a whole page devoted to identifying them. http://www.ebay.com/gds/SanDisk-Extr...1456539/g.html (might be dated a little - but gives the point).

I now only shop at the big retailers (B/M and online). There's usually sales all the time.
