I've got some orchid pics too! These were taken with my DSC-T1 (yeah, the one in the commercial with Steven Tyler). But I got it before it was available in the US. It's my JDM camera

I have the Sony DSC F717 camera and it rocks, though it not much of a difference than my old F707 model. Both are 5 mp camera.

I'm actually selling my used DSC-F707 camera if anybody is interested. I paid $900 2 yrs ago and I'm letting it go for $400. Please PM or AIM me if you are intersted.

For anyone interested in how the new Canon 20D handles, here is a shot. I'm using the 50mm 1.4, JPG straight out of the camera, no post-processing.

And the full-size 8MP...

Damn, you have the new 20D? What is that, 11 megapixels? Not bad, how much is the Camera? I still use the Canon Digital Rebel.

These are all reduced quality pics because the host site has a maximum pixel requirement, but they all are higher quality in the actual size and none of them have been digitally touched up. Taken with Canon EF-S 18-55 lens that comes with the Digital Rebel Kit. I'd like to try out that new 20D though.

OUt of curiosity, what does the acronym "fps" stand for? Never took time to look it up. I really haven't taken any photo classes, just found out how to take pictures by playing with cameras. Went through rolls of film before digital really came into the scene.

I agree getting better lenses because the 18-55 EF-S lens is too bland. It's made in Taiwan too I believe. I've tried the f/1.8 50mm lens and it's pretty badass.

Which would refer to?

I always thought frames per second applied to video recording? I don't understand?
