what about a meet at the Columbia Icefields?

http://www.columbiaicefield.com/

It is 310km from calgary and 460 from Edmonton and would be a nice drive for both through the mountains...

find a saturday or sunday for the drive.

leave say 8am to be there for lunch, maybe do the tour or cruise a mountain road, then head out at 4pm or so to be back by 8pm/9pm.

That's an interesting idea, unfortunately I will need to be back at my home by 5:00pm on Saturday so I wouldn't be able to be on board with it.

I'm jumping on some maps now to find interesting roads that are slightly more local to both of us. (When I say both, I mean Calgary/Edmonton)

July 19 works for me -- racing is on the 20th that weekend, so Saturday is free.

I think for something like this we should say a minimum of say 5-7cars. I think this would be a pretty fun day of driving with a great tour of the ice at the end for those who wish.

so far:

1. Coldrsx - Edmonton
2. Murray Peterson - calgary
3. dctor-? - Banff
4.
5.
6.
7.
8.
9.
10.
