Default I'm Back!

Well, just to say hello.

I'm quite impressed to see so many S owners still owning them and enjoying the car the way it should be. Sab - how are you liking that SOS kit? I had a nasty viabrating rattle sound coming from under my car when I had my S. Speedtech here thought it was a rattle of the bumper against the exhaust........not the case at all, and then we thought it was the throw out bearing....not it either.....once I parted out the Mase kit - we realized it was the waste gate. One bolt had broken off and it was making a nasty rattling........guess you wouldnt have that problem though. lol

Anyways - I figured I would share an update on the IS-F now that I have had it for a year.

08' / 39k kms / Joe Z exhaust / New Michelin Pilot Super Sports / Tein Springs in the front...............and its actually for sale if anyone is interested. Time to upgrade again.

Oh.....and a quick pick of whats to come......

I'm having fun with the SOS kit. Runs nicely, no complaints really, although I suppose more power couldn't hurt but overall I'm quite happy with it, for the price and driveability.

CLK63 Black Series! Very cool car, love it. Tough to get into the country though. It's not on the RIV approved list, but I've heard of a guy in Calgary with one. I think he said it was a bit of a battle to get it in - the other forum I frequent is mbworld.org, they have model specific forums for just about every Benz model. You could probably get some advice from the guys who've brought them into the country if that's what you're aiming to do.

Unfortunately, the only bad thing about the CLK63 Black Series is that they made a CLK DTM AMG. Very rare, I think they only made 200 in total (100 coupes, 100 cabriolets). I was lucky enough to stumble across one in LA (in Burbank actually) outside of Autobooks Aerobooks. We were leaving just as the owner parked to go into the shop, and he was very nice and showed us the whole car, inside and out. Here's some pix:

and a pile more here:

Ya, I've heard its a pita to get the CLK across too but we'll see. I do have two other cars on the list that I want if the CLK is too much of a hassel. 07/08 911 TT or 07/08 AM v8 Vantage. All very different cars, but each have their own appeal.

More power? Shoulda bought my Mase kit. lol. Is there someone in Edmonton who recently installed a Mase Kit? I got a text a little while ago from this persons friend here asking me for Mase's number.
