Default Intro to Prairie Redliners

Hi Everyone,

Well after 4 years of ownership of a fabulous Suzuka Blue 02 AP1, and many years of lurking, I've decided to take the plunge and get more involved.

I wanted to introduce myself to the group and say hi to everyone.

I've lived in Edmonton for 15 years and picked up my Suzuka 02 AP1 back in 2006.

The car has 45K KM on it and it's been a fantastic drive for the last 4 years. There's been moments when I've thought of selling it but one quick drive and that turns it all around.

I've done some basic mods but have kept it stock for the most part. The car is babied, and actually sat for 2 years in a dealership in Tuscon AZ, so everything looks and runs like new.

For mods I'm running some Work Meister S2R's that I had custom built in Japan. I'm told I was one of the last orders before they discontinued production.

They're 18x8.5 in the front and 18x10 in the rear running 225/40's and 265/35's with Potenza RE-01R rubber.

I have a Fujita F5 intake that I've yet to install as life has been pretty darn busy and haven't got to it. Would sure like to install it this summer.

I'm a big fan of the S2K and feel like I know it inside and out. Would like to consider a Fujitsubo exhaust at some point and perhaps consider some form of forced induction.

Wanted to say hi and introduce myself. I've travelled through the US quite a bit and personally know a number of the mods for other forums on S2KI. My most recent was down in New Mexico. Was nice to hang out with the club there and go for a cruise. Drove my friends highly tuned Viper on the drive and was cool to see a lot of the S2K's keeping up - including one crazy 500HP turbo S2K.

Anyway - hi everyone,

David...

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!

Hopefully I won't be bitten by the "mod" bug after seeing all of your cars.

I've been focusing on my driving skill over the last couple of years and getting to the point that I think I should do some of minor upgrades.

Ready for that next meet at Hawrelak park!
