Default peeling paint

I just noticed that the red paint/coating on my valve cover is peeling in a couple of spots...has anyone else had this happen? I assume that an extended warranty should cover this...???

Extended warranty only covers major components. Little stuff like this, even the bumper to bumper warranty would probably not cover.

The thing is, when the car is at speed there is a lot of turbulence under the hood and debris of any sort could have created the chipped paint.

I have not noticed this on mine (same year as yours). I don't know if this is covered by extended. Best to discuss it with the warranty guy.

Another example of the "quality inconsistencies" in our cars. There seems to be many variances of cosmetic flaws that differ among our cars. I am going to be persistent with the bumps on my dash and the blister in my headlamp assembly (a letter is in the works). Look at all the Owners south of the border having issues with their softops prematurely wearing now. Like I said before, Very "Un Honda like" !!
