Default s/c kit install recommendations?

I went in on the TTS s/c kit group buy and bought their full race kit, car will be in storage for a good while yet but just trying to sort things out in advance for myself. I posted in the beyond s2k thread to seek recommendations as well. Looking for a shop/someone to install the kit, clutch and exhaust, I live in Red Deer so any recommendations in Calgary or Edmonton are fine since I'm in between. I know Lightspeed Innovations is local in town but have no experience with the shop. Any recommendations/input would be appreciated, thanks.

That's something else I need to look into, ideally it would be great if e85 was available in red deer, to which I think the highest octane available is 94 from husky or petro as well maybe. Can anyone in Calgary or Edmonton confirm that e85 is available from Husky or Mohawk? Ideally it would be great to go e85 and not have retarded timing for lower octane.

Install yourself.... I'm not familiar with the kit but it should just be bolt on no? As long as you got the tools I suppose... if not I can't really recommend you a shop. I can recommend that I have heard a lot of terrible things about lightspeed blowing peoples cars up while tuning. I'd stick with Toma out of calgary if you are going to have to tune... once again not familiar with this kit.

As for gas, stay with 94 octane. E85/98 would be great to have for the summer months but when the weather gets a little chill... and I'm talking below 10... its pretty much useless. No where in Edmonton sells it at the pump... and pretty sure no where in Alberta does either. If you insist on this route I would totally recommend going the AEM ems route and adding the flex fuel sensor to the gig so you could run either. I tuned my car at 16 psi with the sos kit on 91 octane from shell. And then I put husky 94 in it the rest of the time so it's running a little more rich than what it was tuned for. I disagree that 94 from husky/mohawk is "iffy"... I've never had a problem with it. Infact I run it in my DD too!

Hope that helps, cheers!

This is the kit I bought: http://www.tts-performance.co.uk/#!honda-s2000-full-race/c1ce5

I've already talked with Toma and he will most likely be tuning my car, and have found a couple recommended shops in Calgary.

I'll probably go Husky 94 as it's the highest octane available in town, Petro 94 is supposed to be good as well but it's not available in Red Deer yet. I'd love to run E85 to be able to run higher boost but who knows if it will ever be readily available at stations, might spring for a few drums of it in summer but we'll see. I store my car away once it starts getting cold so not much concern about running during cold temps.

Have most things figured out now, just gotta wait for winter to finally F off and wait for the gravel to get cleaned off the roads.

Ooo interesting looking kit. I'd never seen or heard about it before. Keep us posted with your numbers... are you going to run 18 psi? ap1 or ap2?

AP1, only 15 psi until I figure out how to get a supply of flex fuel.
