Default S Hibernation

For those of you (about 75%?) putting your S away for winter hibernation... What are your preparation work?

Last winter I changed engine oil... inflated tires to 40 psi?... a couple capful of gasoline stabalizer... removed battery and connect it to a trickler charger...

I know there is a tonne more I can do but those are the majors I think.

And when are you all planning to store and/or winter tires?

I think that's about all I'm going to do too. I'm hoping for another couple of weeks, and then she'll be put away. My rear tires are nearly toast, so it may be a bit earlier, as I want to avoid driving on anything wet until Spring.

Unfortunately, I will probably be parking the car outside again, but under a cover. I think I want to get a newer, better cover though.

i just use the checklist in the DIY forum here. lots of good things to use there.
to each their own but i took the side that using jackstands is not necessary, and that starting it up every once in a while is harder on the car (hard cold starts), than just doing it once at the beginning of spring

I agree jackstands are overrated. starting car once a week maybe a good idea if you leave the battery in the car. Otherwise it's not required and a waste of fuel

I have been storing mine for 10 years. Just the basic, wash and wax (zaino), up the tire pressure, disconnect battery, full tank of fuel and stabilizer, car cover, wipe a tear and hope spring comes soon.

Love it, "wipe a tear." I know exactly how you feel.

What is everyone's winter beater? I'm hoping to find a rwd something other fairly soon. I used to have a e34 bmw and loved so I am thinking I might go that route.

I'm actually trying to figure out what I'm going to do with my S over the winter. I don't have access to a heated garage, so its either going to be parked in one bay of the unattached, unheated garage, or I'll need to find somewhere to store it.

The car has the Inline Pro turbo kit, 2.5L Stroker motorand runs an AEM EMS, so I'm not really all that sure if I should be taking any additional precautions in putting it away for the winter.

What do you guys think?
