Default Spring Fun!!

Gave myself a Mother's day gift and took the S to the local Corvette Clubs Slalom race. Over 40 racers, a great fun day. A little disappointed that again I was the only S (it sure gets a lot of attention - sweet!). Surely someone else is looking for the thrill to test what our car was designed for? ITR-Gary was there (ssshhh - with his new VTR1000 - enough said) and his ever ready camera.
I hope everyone had as many smiles this weekend as I did - thank God it's spring in Edmonton - at least for now!

Although there were a few more there only 3 Vettes ran. One a trailored race prep C4 that was best of the day at about 71 sec, my best run was about 78 with a passenger which was probably in the top 10 cars and better than the other 2 Vettes on the day but who knows in a serious meet. Great mix of cars such as a Saleen Mustang with over 500 HP, an Audi S4 twin turbo AWD, an ITR, Sentra R's, charged Celica's, Miata's etc. etc. I'd hoped for more Vettes - I've got a soft spot since I used to own/race one in another life, but it was a fun start to the year and the big number of spectators was really a surprise. It can only get better!
