Well the Commerce City Council unanimously voted...


To grant a one year extension at Second Creek!

This extension has the following stipulations:
- Absolute expiration of Nov 1, 2005 with no chance of renewal.
- Track operations from 8am to 8pm or dusk (whichever happens first), 7 days a week
- Noise requirements were actually relaxed for us, since all clubs that race there can demonstrate testing and proactive abatement steps.

As a new person to Colorado. I couldn't be happier with this news. :D

good news. Glad to hear I got a close place to track for one more year

great news. Hopefully by then I'll be permanent here so that I can actually race. So why did they want to close it down?

they never had a permant county use permit but ran the thing for like 15years as is. applyed for the permit on a temporary bassis. the airport got built in the general area. slow steady housing, over the last 5years, has developed in the area right next to the track.

i live near near SCR and do the bike (it is dwn for a new engine).

my s2k is new, would not have purchased the car just the existing vehicle got trashed. may try it on the track tho.
