Denver area dealerships - GOOD ONE's!
Has anyone had any positive service experiences with any of the dealerships in the local Denver, CO area. I live down in the Springs and don't really care for the local dealership here (the only one in town), and was wondering if anyone could give a reccomendation of one in Dever. Thanks in advance.
Purchase or service...Ralph Schomp Honda in Littleton ROCKS! We went to purchase at Team Honda in the Springs and at the time they wanted $4000 over MSRP, would not budge on the price, were schiesters and lied to us to boot.
So we went to Schomp, got the car at MSRP and had an excellent overall experience!
Service so far has been outstanding at the dealership as they have a great S2000 specialist...Rob Lockey is his name. I don't particularly care for the quick lube, but you can get your oil changed at the dealership as long as you make and appointment in advance. With thier FREE 7 year, 100,000 mile warranty, it's worth the drive to Denver.
Any Honda I buy in the future will come from Schomp...as well as any Bimmer for that matter!

Mile High honda in Aurora is OK for service. I've never had any serious problems though, so this hasn't been acid tested. Don't even bother calling them for purchase though. I talked to them about trading in my lease, and they want $5000 over MSRP and a $1000 deposit (non-refundable) to place an order on a 2003 model. I have one on order with Schomp. They wanted a $500 deposit that was refundable (for any reason). The only downside: I've got to wait until Dec/Jan for delivery, and they don't have any information on the 2003's yet.
I'm sorry for not clarifying. I'm looking for a place to get any work done on my S2000 in Denver. I already had my clutch replaced under the TSB, and now I have this issue where there is a vibration from behind the firewall every time the car is first moved after the engine is turned on. If you actually engage the clutch (as opposed to letting the car roll) you can actually feel the vibration through the accelerator pedal. It never did this before they worked on it, and when I asked them (Team Honda) to look at it, they basically said they didn't know what was causing it and couldn't look at it unless the District Manager gave them approval, and he said no. Then they said they think it's from the ABS initializing when the car is first turned on. Said the wheel's need to be spinning before it starts to do this, and this is what I am feeling. I haven't had a chance to test their "hypothesis", but I anticpite it probably won't pan out.
Anyways, I would prefer to never do any business with them again, unless I absolutely have to. That is why I am looking for a dealership with a good, clean, honest service department that will work FOR me and not AGAINST me.
So, from what I am hearing, it seems as though SCHOMP is the place to go. If so, please let me know.
Thanks, guys.

You could contact Jeff at Planet Honda. He is the shop foreman and an S2K owner. If Tobi still works at Mile High, he could get you fixed up too.
I haven't dealt with Schomp, but what others have said, you should be in good hands as long as you request Rob.

baldy74: Lisa Schomp, who took over the business when her dad died, places an extremely high emphasis on customer satisfation and service. It permeates the entire operation. I've dealt with Rob Lockey (S2000 tech) for my 7500 mile service, have called him on several occasions with questions, and have an appointment with him in September for the spark plug TSB. He's very thorough and is quite congenial as well.
I will NEVER go to Team for anything. So, IMHO, it's Schomp.
I can't speak to the other dealerships in Denver 'cause I haven't dealt with them, but I have met Tobi and some of the techs at Planet Honda and they are all great guys!
