Second Creek track day 1/8/03
Well couldn't have asked for a better day at the track. The weather was so nice, there wasn't that many people, and we had a pretty good turn out. Except for the guy on the bike that yelled at bash for letting him pass.
Other wise Paul let me use his timer, and my first set out with Paul critiquing my driving I got a 1.25, then the next lap a 1.24, and the 3rd lap a 1.23. Not to bad on stock tires. Then with Paul out of the car I ran consistently 1.22's by bet that was recorded was a 1.22.44
All I need is my racing tires so I can play with Paul at the next track day.

Ya, that was fun. I feel like I learn something new every time we go out. Todays Lesson: Some bike riders put on an attitude when they put on the leathers. I'm glad Paul was riding with me to verify that I basically did nothing wrong (jerky, maybe, but not wrong) and was being courteous to let him pass in the manner I was taught. Considering how seldom the bikes let us pass, next time I won't try so hard to be a good neighbor. But it's all good. As I told the bike rider, *live and learn*. Good seeing everyone and thanks for a *near* perfect day.
Oh yeah, that was a great day! Good to see everyone today. Sorry you didn't have more fun, Paul. If I didn't have to go I would have let you take my car out. Next time you can drive the WRX though.
That biker was talking out of his a$$. Quote from the Skip Barber Racing School...
"The point-by takes the worry out of passing situations and is an indicator of a heads up driver displaying sportsmanship."
"You can also help faster drivers get around by leaving the normal racing line so that they can get by on-line."
It wasn't your fault he was trying to pass you at 110mph! I heard them talking about us during the day. Guess they just wanted the track to themselves.
