Default Alloy Craft contact? I have a problem.

Diffuser problem.

Anyone know how to contact Alloy Craft? Sent a couple of emails in the past couple of days with no response.

It's time to change my differential oil and the diffuser will NOT come off the car. It did 18 months ago when I last changed the diff oil, but now one of the Allen bolts just spins, the welded nut in the "AP2" special fitting has apparently broken loose. I'd like to have replacement parts before I Saws-All (if that's a verb) or angle grind the diffuser off the car.

Thanks, got a reply a few minutes ago. No parts available.

I'm going to have to angle grind the bolt off. find a replacement for it, and fabricate a threaded piece to fit inside the round part of the frame. Then bolt it all back together.

isn't it all just rivnuts for the most part?

the problem I'm having is my car it too low and scraped most of the head off one of the bolts so I can't get a screwdriver on it.

There are two 'bout 2" Allen bolts that hold the diffuser to the rear tubular chassis. These go to a special-made bolt that sits over t 1/2" hole on the underside and has a "handle" (for want of a better word) that reaches to the openings at the rear of the frame so they can be positioned and not spin. Nut pressed into a piece of sheet metal. I'm thing the nut broke loose 'cuz the bolt just spins when I try to remove it, I'll need to find or fabricate the part before cutting the diffuser off so I can reinstall immediately. Change of diff oil isn't critical at this time but I like to minimize my time under the car. And I'd like to clean the road gravel off the top of the diffuser,

I know which part you're referring to. I think it's just a piece of aluminum round you could get from Home Depot, drilled and tapped with a 1/4-20 thread. But I think you could probably use the same sheet metal and just press a rivnut into it with the right thread. Probably a lot easier.

I caught a high stone in the parking area at Road America and had to rebuild the whole forward section including bracketing for my Alloy Craft diffuser due to lack of replacement parts. At the end of the day, it was not all that bad of a project. I have access to a small metal brake and a rivnut machine which made it easier. It even got vortex generators added to it.

Thanks for the suggestions! Not sure I have the skills to fabricate the part though.

Thread is indeed 1/4-20. A couple of pictures are below. I don't have the offending part off the car as yet as the diff oil change is well before schedule.
