Cover up bumper scuffs
Howdy y'all,
My front bumper was beat up by the PO, in paint and breakage. As you can see, the bottom lip is pretty bad, along with the under side being broken off in two places. Any thoughts on viable options? I was thinking of getting a lip to cover the bottom and maybe touch up paint on the area by the head lights. Or maybe vinyl all or part of it Thoughts? https://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h...8EFF7F690C.jpg https://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h...D267CF1C6E.jpg https://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h...58BD3662F1.jpg |
If you don’t want to repaint the whole thing..
I’d get a lip and touch up paint. |
Just repaint IMO

Repaint the whole thing.

I was trying to avoid spending 4-500 bucks on repainting a bumper that is broken.....

The only way to make this look correct would be a new bumper or repair and repaint your bumper.
You could make this bumper work, assuming there isn't much more damage than what is pictured, but the repair work + additional prep for paint would likely run close to the cost of a new bumper. By that time you might as well just buy a new cover and have it painted. |
Aside from painting the damaged bumper, you could scuff/sand as much as you can smooth and vinyl wrap it but honestly youre going to be hard pressed to find a vinyl that will match your silver paint(if at all). Picking up a used front bumper in similar condition to the rest of the car off someone for $250-300 is the route I would take

lip spoiler for the scuffs, cracks are a different story.
