Ding King Dent Removal
I have a few small dings that I want to take care of but I can't justify a bodyshop asking $100 for it. I'd rather just live with the ding. But rejoice! After a few youtube videos, I came across this.

I've bought one of these in the past and cannot really say anything good about it. Unless you know what you are doing, you can create more damage to your car. I work in a body shop and have never seen any body man pull out the ding king or similar alternative.
Another suggestion would to find a dent picking specialist that can do paint less dent removals. It may cost a pretty penny, but you will be more satisfied knowing someone has the proper knowledge and skills to do so. |
That item may work on a very shallow round dent, but a deep elongated dent would be nearly impossible. If your dings are small and shallow a paint less dent repair facility/or mobile service would be your best bet. |
I used one of these before and they did help me remove some of my door dings but some dings were almost impossible due to their location. If you have a ding on a body line or in an odd location your better off taking it to a dent repair specialist since they have more tools they can work with to remove dents.

How about the rear quarter panel where its nice and flat? The ding itself is around 2-3mm wide.

Call a pdr guy.
This year alone I have spent a few hundred bucks on my pdr guy and dont regret it. Its the only way to go unless you have actual body damage. |
I used it on a dent in my old car and it helped s bit. However the dent was still there. I paid for a PDR on my z and it was worth it!
