Do you cut off fender tabs when rolling front fenders?
Hey guys,
Just a quick question I wanted to ask. When rolling the front fenders, are you suppose to cut/dremel off the 2 top fender tabs? I had my fenders rolled not too long ago and they came out a bit wavy in the fronts due to the indentations of the tabs. I told my body shop to cut them off so that it can allow room for a smoother roll, but they said that cutting them off would only make matters worse. What are you thoughts and recommendations on this? |
you can it will definitely make rolling your fronts easier. I just knocked mine up a bit with a rubber hammer it made it easier to roll and pull
|
I do not. If you are careful you can roll them just like the tiny fender lip you just need to go slowly. Look in my sig for my fender rolling tips thread.

Thanks guys. As soon as I get back in town Im going back to my body shop to have them re work the fenders a bit more. Manga_spawn I cant find your thread. Would you happen to have a link?

sorry to bring up an old thread, but yea those guys dont know what the hell they are doing...do your research and avoid them, dude rolled my fender without even heating it properly the first time, didnt care so much because im going widebody anyway, its good to test shops and see how they operate...within the first 30 minutes I knew thats not the shop for quality work. you live and learn
