Headlight/Taillight tint

I purchased headlight and taillight tint off of ebay back in late 2010. I installed it and was very happy with the fit on the headlights but the taillights turned out terrible. The curves of the lights in the rear make it extremely hard to get perfect fitment.

Now, about a year and a half later I was bored with the tint and took it off. My taillights turned out absolutely perfect. Without washing them or anything, they look brand new. However, the headlights are RUINED. After taking off the tint, the sticky side had cracked and "soaked" into the headlights. They also made the lights spider crack in numerous spots. I had to pay $75.00 to get them wet sanded and it helped the problem but did not fix it completely. I will have to replace the headlights or lenses in order to make the car look right again.

I wouldn't recommend putting any tint on your lights if you care about the condition of your permanent headlights!

The pics don't do the justice for how bad they look...

Looks like an excuse to upgrade to ap2 headlights!

Any other input would be greatly appreciated!
