Matching BB? and Avoid Orange peel?
Well Obviously im trying to find someone to paint my S with the orginal BB but im worried that it would be a different shade than the rest of the car. Im getting the LIP, Front and Rear bumper just need to know if theres going to be any differences with the original BB code or is it all up to the painter?

If the panels that aren't getting painted aren't faded then the fresh paint should match. As far as avoiding orange peel thats all up to air pressure and the skills of the painter. Orange peel can always be sanded out though...

2k grit wet sanding then compound buffing = no more orange peel. but as K1ng said paint skills will save lots of time...

Since your factory paint job probably has orange peel, a perfectly level repaint on only some panels would likely show.

...and If you don't like the shade, don't accept it. Your the customer. See some of their work. If it's not up to your standards, walk away.
Ideally you'd want the car to be with the parts so that they could blend them in to the rest of the body if there was a major difference in shades. |
