Default Matching color of 10 yr old paint (Silverstone)

I am trying to paint my satellite radio antenna cover to match the color of my 2005 Silverstone S2000. Unfortunately, the paint on the trunk lid appears slightly lighter due to 10 years of fading. Blending the paint is not an option as it would be with body work, so would it be possible to lighten my paint with a base coat on the antenna first? Any suggestions?

If possible, try polishing the trunklid. Since it's clearcoated, it shouldn't fade like single-stage paint. However, in my experience with other clearcoated Honda colours like Championship White, a haze can sometimes develop--which easily comes off with a polish. The fading might also be due to lots of fine swirls in the clear, in which case a polish will also fix.
