Powdering Coat AP2v1

I'm getting an extra set of AP2V1's that im planning on powdercoating, but i dont know what color that i should get. There was a post on here where a guy named "C ory" was selling his and i want to get mine the same color he did. In his description he says he used a candy orange, but i have no idea where to get this powder. If anyone can help me out it would be greatly appreciated.

Are you going to be powdercoating them yourself?

If you take them to a professional powdercoating place, they should have color samples, or just ask for a candy orange powdercoat and i'm sure they have the same color. If not, they should have something very similar.

Yeah, im going to have a professional do it, but none of the people that I call around here have a candy orange. I guess I'm gonna have to go look at some samples. Thanks for the fast reply!

something like this?
i had them powdercoated at a local shop, it was called tropical orange candy

they powder coat them chrome, then use a semi transparent candy over the top, you can make them darker or lighter depending on how many layers of orange they use... mine are a bit darker to match the amber but in the light are crazy! ill try and find a pic

That is exactly what i want! How much did it run you for all four rims to be done?

uhhh i think it was 420 after tax and special ordered powder... from the weeks i spent pricing local shops i think i got a hell of a deal :)

WOW $420!!! My Powder coater charges 35 per wheel and that includes blasting. Washington must have some crazy taxes

yeah i priced out probably 6 places and for candy most wanted 100+ per wheel... plus 40 for the powder and tax...

the candy costs more because they have to sandblast, do multiple layers of chrome, cook it, multiple layers of color, then do layers of color with flake, cook...

took 2 weeks
