Adjusting kw coilovers
New to the site just picked up or should say traded my type r for a 01 s2000. Car has kw coilovers on it and I noticed the gaps between the tire and fenders were all different so I just measured it and here are the results.
Drivers front 25 5/8"
Drivers rear 25 1/8"
Pass front 25 3/4"
Pass rear 25 1/4"
This is from ground thru center of wheel to fender, I wanna do pinch weld but only had a metal ruler at the moment
So obviously someone didn't know what they were doing. Usually suspension are set a little higher on drivers side to compensate for the driver but also seems they also affected the 50/50 weight ratio. I have been trying to find stock ride heights and what people lower theirs to but searching here is hard.
Was wondering what you guys think the ride height should be set at front to rear and side to side for now? One day I would like to get corner balanced but wanna fix it for now :/. Also can I just adjust the height without having to mess with preload? I cannot find English directions of these only European.

instalation and tuning pdf's at the bottom of the page. but to answer your question, i wouldnt worry about your ride heights being different unless you measured on a completely smooth and level surface. no, you cannot change the height of the car without affecting preload.

Thanks I never scrolled down far enough to read the English. I measured from center hub to fender and number were off more higher on passenger side then drivers. But when measured from shock bottom bolt to coil over sleeve the front numbers were the same but rears were off by a decent amount. And the rear was lowered more then the front. I was just wondering how does everyone lower their cars? Equally front rear or slightly more raised in rear?
Is the height adjusted via the perch or by rotating the strut assembly? I've had coilovers in the past, but they were laid out differently than these are. Mine are all fractions off. I would like to get the car equal all the way around at least front with the front and rear with the rear and then later corner balance them when the summer hits.
Also, mine didn't come with instructions and I'm unsure which direction to turn to go softer and which way to go stiffer. Also, I can't hear or "feel" any clicks to know where it makes one level of adjustment. Any help with that would also be appreciated.
top ajuster - softer is anticlockwise.
so to know where you are you should go all the way clockwise and close it to stiffest and from there start go softer.
lower adjuster - when you move it from left to right you make it stiffer.

K, that's what I was thinking, but I wanted to make sure. I didn't know if it was like the buddy club coils I had on my si where I had to turn the strut itself and then set the spring just for preload. Thanks. So I guess threading it down the threads will lower the preload and increase the ride height and vise versa?
