Hey guys,

So my 2004, S2000 with 160k km has this stupid squeal that is insanely aggravating, I have a video and here are the time frames where the squeal occurs:

including loud one at 2:14 and 2:24


others are just me rubbing the steering wheel by accident with my phone, ignore check engine light thats just my cat gone bad.

Please help me diagnose this, there is no humming on highways with top up or down, so not sure if its wheel bearing, not sure if brakes just need greasing, will try that out, my rotor wear seems even, just had this one axle nut tightened to 235lb of torque damn mechanic put grease on axel bolt threads and not just the face of the threads so might redo that.

Sounds like a wheel bearing to me.

A good way to double check whilst accelerating or coasting is go find yourself a construction zone or a freeway if you can and let the sound bounce of the concrete barriers. If it happens while not slowing down the most likely the bearing.

Cranked it to 240lbs and all the noise stopped..., gonna crank it up to 300 lbs and hopefully its all good will do some spirited driving to see if it returns!
