Another brake pad question
#11
best advice. Thats what I do. I daily drive mine 110+ miles daily, but for track days, I have a dedicated set that I swap out. I'm actually running Hawk HP+ for track days, (with a lot of locals advice), they have proven to be more than enough pad for me at my skill level. I've done 3 track days and 1 autoX event in past 6 months, and would make sure you are running a good fluid too. Currently running Motul RBF600

Xp8/xp10
Rather than starting a new thread I'm crashing this one . I'm trying to decide which carbotech pads to choose for next years track days. I'll mostly by driving Pocono which has high speed braking zone (120 mph to 60) followed by 4 more turns. I blew through Hawk HP+ last time, so need help picking the right track pad. Setup:
255/275 staggered "extreme" tires
Racing Brake OE size rotors, stock calipers, high temp fluid
stock power
Original suspension + Eibach anti roll bars
Im not certain if I should run XP8, XP10, or XP10/8 combo?

Endless MX72. I was researching this exact setup and that is the conclusion I came to. Pricey and not readily available.
