Default Bedding in Brake Pads

I just installed OEM ap1 pads in the front, the rears are still ok.
Is it okay to go through the bedding process even though my rears are not new?

also, i what are the downsides of not bedding in the pads?

thanks!

Downside of not bedding street pads is poorer front brake response, particularly in a panic stop situation.

rotors are not new and they were ap1 pads before.
