Default Best Coilovers for ~$1000

hey guys,

I am looking for a set of coilovers for around $1000.

So I have already narrow down my options. 1. Tein Flex Z, 2. Buddy Club Sport Spec, 3. BC Racing BR series, 4. Fortune Auto 500+.

Can you guys please give me some suggestions/ recommendation? Street use most of the time.. I am not going to track that often

Thanks,
Ken

You can get the HKS Hipermax GT for around $1,300. This is really an area you shouldn't cheap out on since the stock suspension is very well sorted.

Bilstein PSS and Tein Flex Z are definitely good options in the $1K range.

Koni yellow and GC's are ok too...unless you want to lower the car more than 3/4".

I have Fortune Auto 510's, while a bit different in price not sure how different they are than the 500's but mine ride like stock but crazy firm and capable on track. Love them myself

The HKS Hipermax IV GT coilovers would be the best bet. They were designed for US street driving. So they are a very daily drivable coilover. And can be used on the track, though I would go a different route for all out track coilovers.

They are on sale today for $1235 Shipped. The best pricing offered on these

Let me know if you have any questions.

If its for street use, the only reason to replace the stock suspension is either the stock stuff is worn out, or you want to lower the car the right way (or both).

To help you decide, let us know which is it?

I'd say Bilstein pss or hks hipermax gt iv. Both are around 1k and have excellent street manners while still being track/ auto x capable

What's wrong with the stock suspension?
