Best Coilovers for ~$1000
#31
I don't have CR suspension. But, if I did, I'd use it for grocery shopping runs.

I don't think anything will beat Koni Yellows and GC coilovers in this range. I have sorta worked my way out of them by gravitating towards springs that are on the stiff end of their range, so instead of buying Ohlins I am having them rebuilt/revalved by a great builder for $700. IMO if done right with the right shock dyno there is no reason they won't be better than any OTS Ohlin. The beauty is Koni is such a widely used shock there are TONS of rebuild/running options. My builder is literally 30min drive away!

Konis are probably one of the cheapest to start with, most durable, most buildable/customizeable shocks out there.
Depends on what you want the coilovers to do. Just lower the car and ride well? Ehhh maybe OTS konis don't do that as well as others. They're a little stroke limited in comparison to others. And it'd be more simple to just buy a setup that does those two things satisfactorily without the complication of buying custom springs to tune the ride, etc.
