Best dampers and spring combo for the money
I have a MY2002 AP1 S2000. It's my first car. I have years of karting experience behind me and I saved up for my S2000 by working every summer in high school. Long story short, after learning the handling characteristics of the car for just over a year and doing tons of autocross events and HPDE with/without an instructor in the car I feel like I know the car well enough to start pushing it further to its limits. I'm getting rid of the factory AP1 staggered setup and replacing it with a 255/40R17 square setup and changing out the front sway bar for a thicker one (probably the one out of the S2000 CR). My question is, which damper setup would best match my wheel/tire setup for the money. I'm leaning towards Koni Yellows with Swift R springs, but someone also offered me a set of the Spoon Sports fixed dampers with the Spoon progressive springs on them. Also, on a sidenote, would I need to current for bumpsteer? And how would I get the best possible turn in response out of a square setup? Any advice would be much appreciated.

Ohlins DFVs. There's nothing better for the money out there.

Agree with RedCelica on that. I will say that the CR front sway is an improvement over the stock front sway its still too soft for HDPE. I have one on my 02 and after 50 mph the body roll is very bad. Look at a Moddiction or Eibach for under 400 buck or the Small Fortune Racing Gendron Bar Honda S2000

For the price you will not beat the Koni Yellow, GC setup. Make sure you use springs 500lb or higher to make up for the lower compression damping of the Konis.
My DFV setup with 10k/10k springs is better, but not that much better.

I happen to have a low mileage set of DFVs for sale too. Can be sold with or without a Swift spring upgrade. I can actually set them up any way you want.
I can do the off the shelf 10/8k setup. I have an extra pair of Ohlins springs to do a 10/10k setup. I also have 12/10k Swift springs. I'll offer the 10/8 or 10/10 for the same price. Swifts are extra. PM me if interested.
