I've just installed the Spoon ones and they fit the same way, the front in the clamp does not slide in completely. I've tried to press it a little more with a mallet with no luck. Seeing what happened when trying to bolt everything down, I'm going to sand it down a little bit.

My guess is that the tolerances in the steering rack holes are a little wild, since the OEM bushing is rubber there's no need for such precision.

Confirmed, I've measured both the bushings and the rack holes and the discrepancy is in the rack. Spoon bushings are all machined within 0.05 mm, whereas the rack holes are in the 0.3~0.7mm range.

It's a cast piece, I wouldn't be surprised if there's a fairly large tolerance.

The bores are machined though, bruv. Or is my memory VERY bad?

I bought the spoon ones and they were tight but seated without any issues. I also was impressed with the centering guides on the bottom bushings.
